My new/old DE ROSA Macro
From the DE ROSA catalog 2003/2004:
»A racing bike in the high range, the Marco is distinguished by the inborn originality of its fram. Made of MCR aluminium alloy, it has an oblique head tube with a decidedly conical shape to anchor its structure better and reduce to a minimum any deformations in the bottom bracket and steering area. The steering tube is completely cylindrical with internal reinforcements to interact with the 1 1/8" carbon fork and moderate the innate exuberance of the aluminium, to the advantage of the bike´s steering ability. This does not fail to cut a fine figure alongside its more famous sisters and it can certainly be used even in long-distance racing, where the comfort guaranteed by the rear end in carbon fibre plays an essential role in allowing the rider to cross the finishing line in the best conditions.«
